Budget Transportation

CarSense standards for older, higher-mileage vehicles.

What is a Budget Transportation vehicle?

Older, higher mileage cars that still meet our rigorous standards.

CarSense Certified represents a very high standard few used cars can meet.

But older, higher-mileage vehicles can be good cars, too. And when we find gems that are over 5 years old or have been driven more than 50,000 miles, we sometimes include them on our lots under the name Budget Transportation.

Budget Transportation vehicles are:

Mechanically sound, but may have cosmetic imperfections

Have had an oil and filter change

Safety inspected and state inspected

Feature a 3-month, 3000 mile powertrain warranty

CarSense doesn’t accept cars with frame or flood damage, period. Using information from Carfax and careful inspections we do ourselves, we avoid vehicles that have been in major accidents or have been disabled due to an accident at any time. You also won’t find vehicles that have been significantly modified since purchase.

While Budget Transportation vehicles do not qualify for the Lifetime Engine Guarantee, the 5-Day return Guarantee, or the 6-month/6,000 mile warranty that comes with CarSense Certified vehicles, Budget Transportation vehicles are still much better quality than a typical older/higher mileage used vehicle.

In short, we feel confident our Budget Transportation vehicles are better than similar-mileage cars you’ll find at other dealers.
