Smoke & Mirrors Magic Show

“Smoke and mirrors” are classic techniques in magical illusions dating back to the 1700s.

Each month CarSense highlights some of the best attractions in the region in a feature called "Sunday Drives."

March 28

“Smoke and mirrors” are classic techniques in magical illusions dating back to the 1700s. Today, Smoke & Mirrors is also one of the best magic theaters around – an intimate 60-seat venue that is handicap accessible and brings audiences and amazing magicians together, up close and personal.

Two things make Smoke & Mirrors shows especially good: performers who have commanded national attention on major networks including Disney, HBO, BBC and PBS, and your proximity to the action. There’s literally not a bad seat in the house, with crystal clear sight lines and sound.

If you decide to try them out on Saturday, March 28, you’ll get 60-70 minutes of illusions, sleight of hand tricks, comedy and interactivity in a kid-friendly show that features some of Philly’s best. Magicians Danny Archer, Mike Bonacci, and Mike Miller are all part of the March lineup. Show is at 1 pm; tickets are $15-20.01 (yes, 20.01), and you should plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to showtime.

By the way, if you get hooked on magic, and want to return sans kids, there are evening performances for adults 21 and over with BYOB permitted ninety minutes before the show. (If you really, really get hooked, they even teach classes!)
